The Ortles Rappel Master Cord has a hybrid construction that uses ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene in the core – a material lighter and stronger than both steel and Kevlar with a high breaking strength of over 15 kN – and robust polyamide to make the protective sheath. The combination gives a superb strength-to-weight ratio with excellent knotability and high UV resistance.The ideal lightweight solution for rappels or as a 40-metre emergency rope, it can be kept compactly stored in its roll-top compression bag until required.
